Harleigh Vets supporting budding journalists of the future

Harleigh Vets, our vet clinic based in Bodmin, Cornwall, are helping a  project at St Joseph’s School, Cornwall who are developing a school magazine.  This will be distributed throughout the senior school and is giving some of the pupils a chance to have a go at journalism and publishing.  Harleigh Vets has supplied an advert for the school with a special offer attached.  We all hope that the magazine is a great success and that the pupils will have fun whilst learning lots of new skills.  If your school would like us to visit to chat with you or help with a project why not call any of the Kernow Veterinary Group  surgeries here in Mid Cornwall (St. Austell, Lostwithiel, Bodmin) as we would love to help.  The job of a veterinary surgeon or a veterinary nurse is a fantastic career – hard work but very rewarding.  Treating cats and dogs and all the other animals we see enables all of us to mix state of the art science with the caring aspect of animal welfare that is so worthwhile.  And if you are thinking of working with farm animals you are also contributing to public health by helping  our farmers with healthy food production that our UK farming industry is so good at.

Why not look at the website of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons for some career advice about being a veterinary surgeon or a veterinary nurse –  http://www.rcvs.org.uk/education/
