CARING FOR CORNWALL’S PETS
Formed from the merger of Harleigh Vets, Pelyn Veterinary Group and Churchend Veterinary Centre, Kernow Veterinary Group is the new force in the provision of high quality veterinary care in Cornwall. We believe that the pooling of our resources allows us to combine the traditional values of a local veterinary practice with the wider range of services offered by the bigger specialist practices.
Kernow Veterinary Group has brought together three long standing local veterinary surgeries into one independent veterinary practice, to provide a team of knowledgeable and caring professionals that want to do their very best for you and your animals. By working together we can provide greater skills across the veterinary team.
Kernow Veterinary Group works with you to focus on your animalâ’s health and welfare, as well as being there 24 hours a day for those unexpected problems. By running our own 24 hour emergency service, as well as four well equipped day clinics, we can give you that reliable service that is there for you whenever you need us.
Kernow Veterinary Group provides a dedicated farm and equine service through Kernow Farm and Equine, where our professional veterinary team work with farmers and horse owners, to provide a high level of veterinary care.
On the companion animal side Kernow Veterinary Group is there to care about you and your pet. Lots of our staff have worked for us for many years and we all enjoy connecting with you and the animals that are so much part of your life. We like to welcome you into our surgeries and get to know you and your pets – we like our work and we love animals – that is why we do the job we do.
Kernow Veterinary Group cares about their staff. We have many longstanding employees in all the teams – vets, nurses and receptionists. We focus on developing and training staff and that is why we are proud to be a nurse training centre. We develop and train new nurses many of whom stay with us on through their careers. We are also committed to the training and development of new veterinary surgeons, mentoring them through university and in their first job right through to the more specialised roles of some of our senior veterinary team.
