Practice Manager KVG
Renay joined Pelyn Veterinary Group in 1985 from school as an animal care YTS trainee. She went on to become the first veterinary nurse to be trained by the practice after qualifying in 1989. She eventually became Head Nurse but in 2004 when promoted to the role of Practice Manager. In 2014 the Churchend, Pelyn and Harleigh surgeries moved to working together to improve the services that we could offer all our clients and Renay became practice manager for the newly formed Kernow Veterinary Group.
She has recently studied for a Level 5 Diploma in Management and she is the first and only holder of a Certificate in Veterinary Practice Management in Cornwall. In 2016 she has also taken on the role as current president of the Veterinary Practice Management Association. The VPMA is the national body for Veterinary Practice Managers.
Renay is a firm believer in the local veterinary practice being a part of the local community, and try to manage the practice in a way that supports this. We are lucky in Cornwall that we believe that the work we do is part of our way of life.
When away from work she enjoys spending time with her two rescue dogs Faun, a Jack Russel Terrier & Jimmy, her 3-legged collie cross. She can be found walking the clay trails, the cliff paths, beaches or moors of this lovely area of Cornwall.
